I love my Dobler so very much. Aaron and I are the best couple ever. (This is the part where you roll your eyes.)
Halloween was our one-year anniversary, so in typical Rachel-Aaron style, there was much celebrating. Four days of celebrating to be exact.
FRIDAY - We ate dinner at no other place than, surprise, McDonald's. We actually hadn't been there in awhile, and it felt good. Then we came home to watch some television. Aaron was acting suspicious and whisked me upstairs. I found that a bit strange as I've been banned from his room since August due to the mess. When we got upstairs, I saw that he had rearranged his entire room to look like last fall. I was so excited. I love that old room.
SATURDAY - After a short work day, I came home and got ready for our date. I had bought this pretty pink cardigan and matching pink scarf just for the occasion, and Aaron wore the same suit as last Halloween. Dinner took place at a small restaurant in Erie - China Garden, which was delicious despite the construction on the roof. During dinner Aaron gave me a card that revealed my anniversary present - Tiffany pearl earrings! Actually he only gave me the "Taking Care of Your Pearls" booklet first, insisting that I take a quiz before I get my earrings and placing the blue box just out of my reach. I whined alot, though, so I eventually got my beautiful earrings sans quiz.
Then we headed to Tinsel Town for a romantic movie - SAW 2. We probably could've chosen a more relaxed film, but it was Halloween weekend, so Saw 2 seemed more appropriate. Plus it gave me a good excuse to cling pathetically to his arm, as the movie scared the bejesus out of me from the first scene.
SUNDAY - Oh, Sunday. We laid in bed together until 3:30 p.m. (not realizing that it was actually 2:30 because of daylight savings time). Um, that's all I'm allowed to say about naked-, I mean bed-, time. We then went out for a nice leisurely lunch at Pizza Hut and continued relaxing with the Simpsons and Family Guy.
MONDAY - Day four of the festivities marked our actual anniversary. Aaron picked me up from work at 4 p.m., and we met Pudlak at Perkins at 6. That night, I gave Aaron his present - a Game Boy Advance SP and a copy of Metroid. The console hadn't actually arrived yet, so he really only got the game, presented in an orange trick-or-treating pumpkin with some mini Hershey bars and a bag of candy corn (gag). For a boy who claims to hate gifts, he looked pretty happy.
And that wraps up the sappy anniversary recount. I hope all you single girls hate us and single guys want to puke. I know I would.
