"I live this life until this life won't let me live here anymore."

Bunny #16 and 17 have apparently put on their Easter bonnets. I actually painted these ceramic rabbits back in 1994 when my mother forced me to make gifts for family. I painted many decorations for her, too. In time, painting ceramics was replaced by cross-stitching.
Bunny #18 is ... I don't even care anymore.

Bunny #19 is another product of 1994.
Bunny #20 is full o' cookies - if we actually had cookies in the house.

Yesterday I celebrated my birthday - again. I didn't go home on the actual day, so my family waited until break to celebrate.

I was under the impression my party was last Saturday and was a little put-out when I discovered it was the day before I went back to school. I like to be home, with my immediate family, the night before I leave - just to take it all in and relax. So I set the party times: 2 p.m. to 6 p.m. A nice chunk of time for a spaz like me - or for a young child.

The party was good fun. Attending the event were the usual crowd - me, Mother, Zachary, JoeT., Gram, my mother's three (of four) brothers, their wives and my two cousins. And, continuing the tradition, we ate the same dinner as we have for 22 years. (I'm not a fan of change; ask anyone.)

But the most important part - PRESENTS. Oh, yes. I got a beautiful black and white coat (which was actually a Christmas present that was back-ordered and then held hostage), a flash drive, the DVD of Garden State and two pairs of ruffly socks WITH SEQUINS AND PEARLS.

22 candles. Seven puffs to blow them all out.

Mother says, "I don't have time for this. I need to put potatoes in the oven."
Rachel says, "I want a photo of you preparing. (Click!) Ha. That's a great one."

Yeah, it tasted that awesome, too.

Uncle Jeff.

Uncle David.

Aunt Carol (Jeff's wife, left) and Aunt Tammy (David's wife, right).

This photo's hilarious, because these girls are Devil-children. And no, I did not set this up. They actually were saying grace voluntarily. On the left is Madison ("Maddy," age 5) - on the right is Alexandra ("Allie," age 7).

My mother forgot to make pretzel jello salad, so she whipped this up to stop my whining. Isn't this picture nice? My brother told me it looks like a recipe photo in a magazine. At least somebody supports my love of dessert photography.

Mother says, "I hate that camera."
JoeT. says nothing.

Gram was bitchy because her furnace broke yesterday morning. Ignore the fake smile.

Gretel gives Tammy kisses.

Zachary says, "You breathe like a little bird that's been chloroformed."

Zachary says, "How's my curl?"

Tammy says, "I love how you refuse to believe you're in a wheelchair."

Rachel says, "Take my picture."
Mother says, "I'm glad to see you have high self-esteem."

Rachel says, "That one's fuzzy. Take one more."
Mother says, "Jesus Christ."
