A Picture is Worth 1,000 MB

Since rescuing Mr. Neuberger's album, I've been thinking a lot about how I have no actual hard copies of any photographs. They're all digital, stored on my hard-drive or online, and just waiting to be lost in some e-tastrophe. See, that's just the thing: I never really cared about taking pictures until Aaron and I started dating, and that's a huge part of our relationship (not photography, but capturing memories). While we do have our whole relationship documented in our LJs, there's nothing to sit down with and "hold" (not since I bought him his digicam two years ago, anyway).

Two questions:

1. Are Shutterfly prints high-quality?
2. Does there software work on a Mac?

They seem good to me. I can't tell the difference between their prints and ones I'd get at a store. But I'm not an expert. I know the higher the resolution you upload, the better.

2. Does there software work on a Mac?

Yes, I use a Mac. They made a 'drop box' type internet plugin for Macs awhile back, which I use. I think they also have a plugin for uploading from iPhoto now too, but I don't use iPhoto so I'm not that familiar with it.
