Aaand, it turns out that I already have a story in mind for a Rarou/Nanashi story. >_>

But after reading manic_intent's Rarou/Nanashi fic " In Translation," my story seem a lil stupid and OOC now. ._. (I haven't read such a good fic in a while. I recommend it!) I just wish I could understand what Rarou was saying in some parts of the fic. xD

I love the OST to this movie. While it honestly would not be my favorite, it does have a couple of good tracks imo. :]

Anyway, about the story I had in mind, it has a lot to do with tweaking the ending of the movie a bit. But...instead of Nanashi sparing Rarou like in maniac_intent's fic, Rarou spares Nanashi instead. But only after Nanashi gives Rarou his first cut on his cheek. Rarou recognized Nanashi's potential from that cut and decides to let him live since it wouldn't be fair (or fun) to fight him as he was (Nanashi's exhaustion was obvious and he was already wounded prior to their battle).

And Rarou doesn't really tag along with Nanashi and Kotarou either. Instead, Nanashi and Kotarou runs away from the the ruined province that they were in (cause c'mon, the feudal lord is dead and the local military just lost a good chunk of their men--I'd imagine it'll be chaos until someone else takes over).

Nanashi and Kotarou ends up taking a merchant ship to a foreign country...which gets attacked by pirates. Sorry Kotarou, your plans were foiled. D: And while Nanashi managed to fend most of the pirates off, a lot of the supplies/rations on board were stolen/destroyed, so the owner of the boat decides to dock at the nearest port to restock. And guess what the nearest port is? |DD

Yeah, Nanashi and Kotarou ends up at China (again). The one place that they wanted to avoid since the Ming Emperor is still after Kotarou after all. >_>

And Kotarou ends up captured immediately, and Nanashi ends up being overpowered by sheer number and wounded (again, just when he recovered! sucks, huh?).

And all of a suddent, DUN DUN DUN! Rarou arrives.

And he offers to help Nanashi rescue Kotarou...by enlisting him to the Chinese army. It would be the quickest and easiest way to save Kotarou (and Rarou just wanted an excuse to watch over/spar with him, lolz).

Nanashi is obviously flustered at the idea of returning to such a violent lifestyle, however, he knows that it was the only way to save Kotarou and he agrees to Rarou's offer. And eventually learns about Rarou's background at the same time. (You don't think the Emperor let Rarou off so easily for failing to capture Kotarou, right? Not mention the discrimination he gets for being different.)

Anyway, they still have nine months to save Kotarou before the night of the prophecy begins again.

There's more to it but I'll leave it at that for now. |3;
