Speaking of changing phone service, is anyone particularly happy with their pay-per-minute provider?
I've decided that paying $30-$40/mo for 30 minutes of phone usage is ridiculous. I rarely use 20, really, but 30 is about my max. I can hear well enough to not qualify for TTD, but the CAPD wrecks my auditory processing enough to make phone usage frustrating and problematic. The best description I've come up with so far is that speech sounds like most of the consonants have been stripped out. Looking at what I write for directions or other dictated information off the phone this seems to be the most accurate simple description.
But it's useful to be able to call C to pick me up or in emergencies and to be able to have a phone number to give people that will get me.
Extra points if I can keep my number.
Extra extra points if I can keep my phone. (I like it. It works. What more can I ask for?) (It's currently chipped for sprint network and it's only a year or maybe two years old)
