Comments! (and the encouraging thereof)

May 10, 2012 08:53

I've just been prowling the AO3 collection (where most though not quite all of the stories for the Exchange have been posted), and have noted an interesting phenomenon: of the 120 works posted to the collection, exactly half (60) have more than two comments, while nearly a quarter (27 by my current count) have one or fewer comments.

In the interests of showing some love, I'd encourage my fellow participants to go and help boost the comment counts, and I'll list here the six stories I found that had no comments at all as of a few minutes ago.  I emphasize that the goal here is to provide feedback for the authors; we had a good many pinch hits this year, and I suspect that many stories' original recipients may simply not yet have had the opportunity to peruse the stories written for them.

ETA:Thanks to everyone who has gone forth and read and commented -- on the AO3 and elsewhere.  Also: in drafting this post, one notable story-posting case I overlooked was that some authors might have posted both to the AO3 and to a journal elsewhere.  As a result, I may have made it appear that some authors had gone entirely un-thanked -- and/or un-thanked by their recipients -- when that wasn't actually the case, and I'm sorry about that.
