24 Hours til Deadline
We're at (slightly less than) 24 hours until deadline. What does that mean for you?
- If you have already posted to the archive: CONGRATS! Pat yourself on the back. Consider offering a beta or a pinch hit.
- If you have already posted to the archive, but you posted a draft: Remember that if a draft goes live on May 4, you will be considered a no-show default and will not be able to participate next year. So: PLEASE REMEMBER TO EDIT WHAT YOU POSTED SO YOUR AUTHOR HAS A NICE, TIDY, FINISHED GIFT!
- If you have already clicked that 'default' button: That is okay. Things happen. You will be able to participate next year.
What happens at 11:59PM CST, April 28? [Previously posted time was 9PM, so hey, a few extra hours!]
1. Mods begin continue sobbing and tearing our hair.
2. We click the magical button that says "default all unposted" -- this will make us able to assign pinch hits to anyone whose writer didn't show up. If we have to default for you, post-deadline, THAT MEANS YOU CANNOT PLAY NEXT YEAR. (You can come back in 2015, but that is a long time to wait!)
3. ...Unless you have an extension.
What?! Extensions?!
Yes. We're offering them on an "ask and you shall receive" basis. If you don't ask, and don't post before the deadline... yep, you guessed it. You're out for next year. If you DO ask and end up not needing it, THAT IS AWESOME. So, for those of you who are having lingering issues, had RL interfere, or are waiting on a beta... you DO have the option of asking for an extension. If you haven't started your story and that story isn't a pinch hit... you should probably default. The last thing we want is for MORE defaults to come in after 4-28. To do so: email aphrodite.mine@gmail.com with your AO3 name, the AO3 name of who you are writing for, and the due date you think you'll need. Obviously, no later than May 4. DO NOT ASK FOR AN EXTENSION IN THE COMMENTS.
