“I don’t think I’ll ever tire of this view,” Draco murmured, leaning back and looking up at the stars.
“Neither will I,” Firenze murmured softly.
Draco glanced at Firenze, blushing when he realised the centaur’s gaze was on him. He still was getting used to Firenze being his soulmate. When the spell he cast revealed Firenze’s name, Draco thought it had been a mistake. He had cast the spell again, still in disbelief. The following days had been a whirlwind, but truthfully, Draco had found peace living in a small cottage in the Forbidden Forest. Firenze was able to be close to both him and his herd. It was a nice balance for them both.
“What constellation should I teach you about tonight?” Firenze asked, breaking the silence.
“Hmmmmm, surprise me,” Draco said, sending him a smile. He loved listening to Firenze explain the stars to him. His voice was soothing, and he found that he loved learning about the constellations and stars above.
“Cassiopeia is particularly bright tonight. Let me tell you her tale.”
Looking up to where Firenze was pointing, Draco made himself comfortable and listened to his soulmate tell the tale. Smiling, he glanced at Firenze, perfectly content with their new life together.
