Thank you, Happy Elf! I particularly like Narcissa in this, how she remains so calm and icy despite how much she must be hurting. Luna is fabulous, the perfect mix of innocence and wisdom beyond her years. Interesting that Draco used the angle on Luna that Lucius is nothing but a bastard and is only going to hurt her. I wonder if that's what really bothers him about the situation (i.e. if he actually cares for Luna himself), or if he was just saying that to try and manipulate her. You never know with those Slytherins! All round a very satisfying and well done fic, thank you again!

I personally do think Draco cares about Luna being hurt, but I like how it can be seen either way. I really liked the first part of this, and Narcissa's reaction made me wonder if she really knew what Lucius was doing with Luna, and that's why she wasn't upset, or she was, and just masking it.

Interesting fic, it made me think and the ending surprised me.

Uh, I love the part with Draco and Luna. Draco saying such things about his father is really confusing in a good way. And the interaction between all those characters was really interesting and very contrasting. Really liked that.

While it had occurred to me that one of Draco's parents might have connected with Luna while she was imprisoned in their house, I'll admit that I always thought it was much more likely to be Narcissa, given the glimpses we get of her in canon. However, this was lovely, and fairly believable, so maybe I'll have to rethink that. ;)

To be honest, it was a bit of a challenge, creating a Lucius who could have connected to Luna in such a way. But it seems to have worked, so thank you! I'm glad you liked it. :)
