Twenty-five year old Angelina let out a breath as the crowd started yelling and hollering again. She smiled to herself, her heart pounding against her chest. As nerve racking as this always was, it was Angelina's favorite part. She loved hearing the crowd, waiting in anticipation for the game and feeling the nervous energy of her team mates. Sure, it made her pretty nervous, but she loved it all the same. It was the feeling that came with being a Quidditch player, and Angelina loved that all by itself.
She had been playing Quidditch professionally for two years and it was one of the best things that had ever happened to her. She was doing what she had always loved to do. Really, she hadn't thought that she would ever end up like this, but she got lucky and fortunately this was now her life. She was a Quidditch player that tons of people loved. She was actually someone with a fanbase, which was just a little bit weird at times.
Angelina took a breath, as a team mate walked up to her and smiled. “Ready for this?”
Angelina nodded her head. She was completely ready. “As ready as I will ever be.”
The crowd roared as their team was announced and they walked out of the room they had been waiting in and walked out to the screaming crowd. Angelina smiled to herself before mounting her broomstick and whizzing into the air.
She was going to win this game and then she was going to celebrate all night long.
---
After the game-Angelina's team won-Angelina rushed back into the changing her, her teammates whooping and hollering around her. “We won!” Someone yelled while the rest hollered back.
Angelina smiled to herself as she stepped out of her Quidditch robes and then pulled on her dark purple robe, the one she only wore during special times. It was the perfect dress to wear in this moment.
“We are going to the World Cup!” Angelina smiled at that thought, it had been her dream when she was eleven and went to her first World Cup. She couldn't believe she was going to be there in just a matter of weeks.
Angelina closed up her closet, with her robes and broomstick and locked it. She was ready to get out her and to the real after party, completely with friends, family and fans. That was going to top the entire night.
“Going to meet your princess?” Someone asked Angelina as she started out of the locker room.
Angelina turned her head and smiled back at her team mates. “Of course.” She answered.
---
Angelina made her way to the after party-it wasn't hard to find it, she just followed the sounds of music and screaming fans.
As soon as Angelina walked into the room, everyone turned to the door and clapped for her. Angelina felt her cheeks flush red as she made her way into the room. “Thank you!” She said, trying to be heard above the clapping, but it was a waste. No one heard a word.
She smiled around the room as she quickly looked for the one and only person she was all that interested in really seeing. The person who completed her entire life and made it all worth while. “Ang!”
Angelina turned around and felt herself let out a breath of air as she spotted Katie, her girlfriend of five years. She was wearing a long, flowing robe and her blond hair was down along her shoulders. She looked absolutely beautiful.
“Katie!” Angelina made her way to Katie and took her by the wrist. She had to get away with Katie, Angelina wasn't sure how long she could go without felling Katie's lips on her own. “Let's get out of here.” Angelina whispered in Katie's ear, leaning in close to her girlfriend.
“I could not agree with you more.”
They made their way out the first door they could find. As soon as Angelina was sure that they were alone in the long corridor, she pressed Katie against the stone wall and she pressed her lips on Katie's.
Katie's hands found their way to Angelina's hips as they kissed each other, hard and soft all at the same time.
Feeling breathless, Angelina pulled away from Katie, a smile on her lips. “I missed you.”
Katie nodded, her eyes sparkling. “I know. Game days suck sometimes.”
Angelina nodded in agreement, staring at Katie. She loved the way she looked tonight, she looked like she tried to dress up, but didn't at the same time. It was the way that Katie always looked.
Katie was the best kind of surprise that Angelina found in her life. They didn't even consider each other in their lives until they turned twenty. They were at a Quidditch game and they just saw something in each other that they hadn't seen before. It was fate-at least that was what Katie loved to say. They found each other in an unexpected place.
“You look amazing.” Angelina whispered.
Katie smiled and looked embarrassed for only a second. “You did great tonight. I couldn't believe you out there.”
Angelina shrugged a shoulder and tried to look confident, like she knew she should be feeling. But when Katie was looking at her like that, it was even harder to look and feel confident. It was just what Katie did to her.
“Thank you.” Angelina whispered.
Katie smiled at Angelina again before kissing her, she put her hands on Angelina pressing her body as close to Angelina's as she could get. Angelina closed her eyes, breathing in the scent that only Katie mastered, no one else in the world smelled like Katie at all. It was her own unique smell.
Katie moved her hands from Angelina's hips to lower on her body, until they were almost in complete contact with the spot between her legs. Angelina pulled away from Katie and gave her a questioning look. “We're in public Katie, there are like hundreds of people in the next room.”
Angelina turned her head to the door and listened as the sound of the music and loud talking erupted from the room. “So?” Katie asked.
Angelina turned back to Katie, who was smiling at her and leaning in close. “Katie, come on.” Angelina pleaded, while maintaining a smile on her face. “Let's wait until tonight, it'll be even better to wait. Plus, you know that I hate PDA.”
Katie's eyebrows rose and she leaned back a smiled on her lips. “Wait.” She said. “You have a surprise for me, don't you?”
Angelina shrugged her shoulders. She was not about to ruin the surprise now, not when she had been able to maintain the secret the entire night. She had spent the entire morning secretly spreading rose petals around their hotel room and then setting champagne and chocolates on the breakfast nook table. It was going to be perfect and it would only be perfect if Katie was completely surprised. “I am not going to tell you.” Angelina answered, trying her hardest to not start smiling or laughing.
Katie shook her head. “Let's get this thing over with tonight so that we can get back to our room and I can figure out what this surprise is.” Angelina laughed as Katie took her by the wrist and started pulling her back towards the party.
If there was anything that Angelina had to pick out as the best thing in her life, it would be Katie. She loved how Katie was the opposite of herself and how she was always ready to take control and put Angelina exactly where she wanted her.
There was nothing better than being by Katie's side and having her by Angelina's.
