Very good start to the story. This reads like the first chapter in a novel. I liked it though I hadn't been all that warm to the pairing. You wrote Cecily pretty well. She is recognizably a child and isn't unbearably cute.

Finally got around to reading this. I really enjoyed it, great exposition! :D I especially love the way you've characterized Susan. For some reason I admire her bluntness. Looking forward to reading the rest!
