Random Emails
This week is apparently random email week from friends and acquaintances.
I received an email from a guy who used to read my baseball writings way back when. He also played along with my baseball trivia. The email said that he was going through his address book and came across my email address. So, he decided to write and see if I was currently doing any writing or trivia. I thought it was sweet that he took the time to write.
It's interesting how loyal people can be sometimes. When Will and I had our falling out over the baseball stuff, I had a small but very loyal group of guys who asked me to keep writing and to continue with my trivia. I did for awhile, but at some point lost my desire to do it. The fall out with Will was pretty damn brutal and took a toll on my love for all things baseball. I did try to start the trivia back up at one point though and had a little bit of success, but didn't get enough out of it to really keep it going.
I find it very endearing when I receive emails like this out of the blue. Given that Will has made quite a name for himself in the baseball/sports writing world. I take comfort in the fact that some people remember the help he had along the way and think kindly of me.
