the joys of being a geek fangirl
So... I've recently seen Velvet Goldmine. Like... a few days ago. I was amazed to learn that young Obi-Wan boinked young Batman. (Young Obi-Wan also boinked Henry the VIII, but that's another thing...) A gay geek's wet dream. Hell, even I feel a bit hot, although my fave scene is at the beginning with Ewan McGregor singing TV eye... nekkid. With oil dripping down his abs. And glitter.
And yesterday, me being my totally scatterbrained self, as usual, I learnt that the writer of my fave book, The Shipping News, also wrote Brokeback Mountain.
The movie I did not see, because the first time I turned the TV on when they were playing it... seeing two guys going at it without lube or preparation right in front of my face without warning... yeah. I changed channels and forgot to change it back until the end where one of the guys ended up sobbing into the other guy's (then dead) shirt. The end. Never got my courage to give the movie another try. Seriously... no lube?! I'd be screaming bloody murder all right.
So anyway... I looked up the movie thinking of giving it one last shot (thought again to read the book instead, not that I like bloody tearjerkers, godsdamnit) and the actors. New Joker (sadly departed) boinking the Prince of Persia.
So... Joker did boys before. Batman did boys before. Yep. My mind is in total fangirl heaven overdrive.
