Kin your flower doesn't look like anything on this earth..
obviously wennie cannot draw flowers (or backgrounds)
they all look like they got picked from the depths of hell.
*coughs* errr.....well those were actually drawn before i left for China. >__>
and then there's the part i wrote while there.
hora Richu, ...oh wait you read it already. :D;
link to part one just for the heck of itBirds chirped outside the window, a breeze slightly wafted in past the curtains.
I sat up on the bed, stretching arms foward. Time to start the daily role-call.
desk, check.
glasses, check.
bed made, check.
weather, check.
Time, check. 7.35am, 14th March.
Now that is what I'd call starting a day the way I liked it, perfect and precise. Calm and routine.
Not like the horror of..that day.
Shaking my head slightly at that thought, I sat down at the dining table, where a pot of tea was laid out for breakfast.
The newspaper was neatly placed before my seat, and I picked it up to read through.
At this point, two figures entered the dining area from behind as well.
"Ah Kotone's up already, let me get the teacups ready," the green-headed one started.
"Kotone.." I shifted the newspaper slightly in response.
"Good morning," Kin sat upon his seat across the table.
Green-thing re-entered the dining area with teacups in hand, pushing Kin's chair in towards the table.
Laid down the teacups, and poured the tea.
It then went seemingly busily, off into another room.
Silence then ensued, with the exception of Kin dragging his cup across the table toward himself.
Governer exposes a love for harem?! The shocking sex scandal!
What a worthless article.
I put down the newspaper and picked up a cup of tea.
Sipping on the tea, I observed Kin before me, looking down solemnly, almost folornly, at his empty cup.
Something seemed different about him. I looked at the tea in hand, then back at Kin.
Realised what it was, looked back at the tea, and back at him.
"Kin." He looked up silently at me.
I faltered, not knowing how to piece the words together.
You look very brown today. No.
You look...terribly brown today. What. No.
"What's... with the tan?" I raised an eyebrow. "You look awfully brown."
I just said it. Someone shoot me in the head, now.
Kin continued looking blankly for awhile, then raised a sleeve.
His arm was paled in comparison to his hands.
The difference was as clear as light and day, or some might prefer, ...milk and tea.
"What's the meaning of this?" I questioned. "Have you been going out of the house?"
He flustered about minutely, "Thi--"
"AHhhhhh! Erm that, uh!" green-thing interrupted, a pile of laundry in its hands.
"Y-you know last month when you brought Kin out for grocery shopping? I-i-i thought, well maybe it would be good for Kin to go out more often...exposure, you know? Ahaha..," it squeaked shakily as I squinted. "So I'd bring him to the playground sometimes, and maybe play abit, y-you know?"
"I...I was the one who asked to be brought out," Kin whispered disdainfully while looking down at his still-empty teacup.
Well, it's not like I'd set any rules about going out, or curfews, at that. What are they worrying about for?
Noticing my fingers starting to turn color from still holding onto the teacup, I put it down. It made abit of a splunk.
The whole assembly sat/stood silently, awkwardly for a moment.
"Oh yes, uhm," the silence was broken by the noisy one, figures. "Today is the Fourteenth of March! White day."
"It's where the guys return gifts to girls who offered them chocolates on Valentine's, isn't that sweet?" it continued rambling on.
That doesn't exactly concern me, I thought to myself.
"By the way,"
Green-thing tilted its head slightly, "Kotone, aren't you going to start up breakfast yet?"
Right. I'd nearly forgotten about that.
As I got up to head toward the kitchen, I glanced over at the mantelpiece.
On top of it lay a neatly lined-up row of three little boxes, tied with brightly colored ribbons.
White day, huh? ...I paused to think.
"I suppose we could do with a change and eat out today." I folded my arms and shifted posture.
"Eh, really?! I'd better take Kotone up on that offer before anything happens then!" green-thing exclaimed.
It dropped the laundry onto the floor then ran off, trailing, "Give me a minute to changeeeee-"
Don't drop laundry on my floor, damnit.
Kin picked the laundry up, looked for a place to move it to, found none.
He then placed it right back on the floor.
I grabbed a coat off the coat rack, and put it on, when a green blur whizzed past toward the door.
I think it was saying something like, "Let's goooooooo-"
"Ah-"
I looked down at Kin, musing at his rare expression of surprise.
"That's the first time she ever smiled for real," he then drooped his head to look at the floor.
"Hanabi must really be sick of eating pancakes..."
