Last Saturday was our school's Winter Ball. I had so much fun! I went over to Karissa's house around 12:30 and we did our nails together. Then we went to the mall and I hung out with Sarah for an hour or so while Karissa got her hair done (it was so cute! She had twisties all the way around and then it was all twisted into a bun with some curlies coming out.) Then the three of us went back up to Karissa's and Sara came over (yes, there's two of them. Sarah and Sara) and we all spent the next several hours getting ready and talking. Karissa let me borrow her dress from last year. It's really pretty... a purple two peice with silver glitter. The top is strapless and ties in the back like a corsette and the bottom is just a long skirt that goes down to the ground.
Around 5:30 Marcus Faber (Karissa's boyfriend) came and we made him wait around because we still weren't ready yet. At 5:45 Denise (Karissa's mom) took pictures of us all and we left. Karissa had made us a schedual to follow because we had so many places to go to before the actual dance itself. Next we stopped by Karissa's grandma's house for more pics, and then Mary Pogue's house. Mary is our youth leader... she'd insisted earlier in the week that we come over so she could see our dresses.
Next was dinner at the Montecello Hotel. The soup was good but our pasta was really mushy and gross and Marcus's stake was really red inside. So really it wasn't that great of a dinner. But that's okay because if I'd eaten anymore I would have had to make Karissa help me loosen my dress (I couldn't breath as it was.) Then we went to the mall so Karissa's step-mom, who works there, could take pictures of us on Santa's lap. Then we went to Karissa's dad's house so he could get pictuers too, and then we went to Marcus's house (for more pics of course), and then to Sara's.
Finally we made it to the dance around 9 (it actually started at 8 but no one actually shows up that early). My friend Kayla was there, which really surprised me because I hadn't seen her in a really long time (like four months or so). She has a new boyfriend that's really her fiancee that she's known for three months and she smokes and drinks now. I was kinda shocked cause she used to be a really big church girl.
Anyways, the dance itself was alot of fun, just hanging out with my friends and being happy and all. I didn't actually manage to make it home until 1 in the morning where I promptly fell asleep because I was so exhasted.
Later I have some more stuff to update on (bad stuff happened on Friday with me and Marcus Claxton but I didn't want to say anything because he was here in the library and it would have been bad if he'd walked by and saw his name or something. So yeah, if I don't put it in here soon I'll just have to tell everybody who's in the area over Christmas break, which, by the way, I'll probably be down in Oregon from the Sunday that Matt and Anday are there until the first or second. That's what my mom thinks will work out best anyways.)
