Sara's Birthday (Again!)
Tonight we went out and celebrated Sara's birthday again since she couldn't leave town on her real birthday last weekend. Marcus, Karissa, Sara, Jessica, and I all went down to Portland to eat at a French resturant called Brosserie Montmarte (it's very possible that I spelled that wrong...) We all had escargot, which I'd had only once before. It's not too bad! It just tastes like the butter/garlic sauce it's in. The worste part is the texture (squishy, like a mushroom) but if you can get over that then you're fine. Then for dinner I had a pasta with chicken in it (yum! I love chicken!) and I had cheesecake for dessert *winks at cousins* Cheesecake is one of the most Heavenly things I've ever eaten. Mmmmm!!! *Sigh* Okay, sorry. Ummm, anyways...
After dinner we walked around Portland for a bit (although Marcus kept us from getting lost.) Mostly we just windowshopped, but we did go into one store so Sara could see if the had fake tatoos (she wanted to tell her mom she got a real one, although I doubt her mom would have fell for it.) Jessica bought a girlie magazine and we read it in the car on the way home and made fun of the stupid stories. It was so great! I'd never spent much time with Jess before but I think I like her. She's definitely a fun kinda gal.
Now I'm really hyper and I just want to grab Dalena and jump into a car and blast the stereo and rock out to some fun music and attempt to dance while driving! Wouldn't that be fun, babe? We'll try it some time! Don't worry though, I won't get so crazy that I stop paying attention to the road...
