Żubrówka

To celebrate a shared day off with my two BFF's from work, we decided to have a movie day at my house. A very civilised idea, I thought. The main purpose of this being to bring our English lass, Colette, up to date with the Australian classics - Muriel's Wedding and Priscilla. We managed to get through only one today, [my personal fave] Muriel's Wedding.

While poor Colette was suffering a Hangover of Doom, Mick and I decided to get into the bottle of Żubrówka I had tucked away in the cupboard. Mmm, Żubrówka [a bison grass vodka] is quickly moving up on my list of beverages of choice. However, before the movie we decided to indulge in another Australian [moreso English] obsession - Neighbours. Mick and I, being the wise pair that we are, decided we should start a drinking game to Neighbours. We each picked a character, taking a swig each time our character turned up in a scene. A very heavy Dr Karl episode got me a little tipsy. We then played the same game for an episode of Will & Grace [thanks Karen!] and decided when Hamish & Andy came on screen it was time to move on to bigger and better things. Muriel!

Mick's magic Googling fingertips found us this pearler!

Bad, bad, bad! Bad idea! By the end of the movie the bottle of Żubrówka was gone, as were our senses. It was the first time I'd ever done a drinking game to a movie, and it was hilarious to do one to a movie so over-watched I can lip-sync to it. I know now I should swear I'll never do it again [especially since I did end up hugging my toilet bowl] but there's no point in lying to myself. I can't wait to find a drinking game for the next movie day and Priscilla!
