Klamon don't have bellybuttons, even in their human form. Non-placental mammals, no umbilicus, no bellybutton. Hybrid Klamon with human mothers have small ones, hybrids with Klamon mothers have none.
Klamon have greater technology than Humans, which includes things related to reproduction. One of the things the Hillenbohn-Sollits considered when they formulated the plan of how they were going to leave Geteilpohth how hard it was on Kayrin (so many miscarriages) along with the story they were going to go with once they settled: Kayrin as a widow. So Teigan is sterile, not sure how exactly by what method, but it doesn't matter and he's not saying anything more on the matter.
