1. I can write and express my ideas well. I just need to really think about what I'm trying to say, make sure it's consistent, and choose my words carefully. Not just say what appeals to the creative part of my brain. Good-sounding writing only carries one so far.
2. Compromises that seem small at the time of compromising are, in fact, not. If there's something that is mildly annoying about, say, a class, it will not continue being mild. It will gain momentum and power and begin to make your life miserable.
3. It is, in fact, okay to let it go...mostly pertaining to schoolwork. There are never going to be enough hours in a day. It is important to choose one thing to do a thorough job on than get overwhelmed and not accomplish anything at all.
4. Having some schoolwork that doesn't feel like work makes you lucky. It's okay to put extra energy into that one thing.
5. Plan ahead, but take life day-by-day.
6. It's important to think as much about accomplishments as goals/things that need to be done.
