I get to go home next weekend!!! Its aprents weekend here and mine didn't come:(
So I'm excited. Anyone else going home? I KNO W some of you are!!! Call me and we HAVE to get together!!!!!!
What I have to get through this week:
-Order dorm sweatshirts. Much more trouble than they're worth!
-Phyc paper and test. Most pointless class EVER. I hate it!!!! It's one of those calsses where its huge and there are three teachers, all of whom use powerpoint for EVERY class and EVERYTHING is on Blackboard and its ALL from the book. SO you can NOT go to class, print out your notes and read the chapter and you're golden.
-I have to be on the accredidation committee as part of Student Government. Guh.
-Midterm on Wednesday. 2 essays in 50 minutes. NOT fun
-Read Native Son. seriously disturbing book about a black man who smothers a rich white girl, accidentally kills her, stuffs her in a trunk, takes her to the firnace where he shoves her body into the fire but it won't fit, so he chops off her head and then she fits in the fire. and that's just in the first 100 (out of 500) pages!!!
-Have to set up for the Homecoming dance tonight, which promises to be a rousing time of freshman who don't yet realize that college is nothing like HS.
On the bright side:
-Safeway has started to get in their Holiday stuff, so yesterday I got Gingerbread CoffeMate for my coffe. Its SOOO yummy
-Watched homecoming footbal game with Aunt, Uncle and Cuz. We left after 3rd quarter and we were winning 70 to 3 against Lewis and Clark. hehehe
-The new Jars of Clay album is SO GOOD!!!
-Took all the orphans (no parents for parent's weekend) to Manito park on the South Hill. I thought we were in Europe!
Seriously! We stepped into Pride and Prejudice!!! Whoever said that Spokane was Ugly was stupid!!! (actually mostly right, but there are a few exceptions)
I just like this picture of me.
From Left to Right: Jasmine (Beloved Rommy!), Me, Anna, Amy (cutest frosh ever!), and Therese
The Rose Gardens are BEAUTIFUL!!!! Rita, tell Will we're getting amrried there. Or at least he should propose to me there!
Perfect, no?
