raking dirt

has anyone ever raked dirt. well after three years of living in our new house, we're finally getting to the landscaping, so my dad has been digging ditches and putting in spirinkler systems for about three weeks now, and we're almost done. His problem is that (hold on, i'm getting yelled at in the face by my mom, who is telling me to go clean the bathroom and that she is tired of picking up my thongs, yes thongs.{these are of course the kind that go on your feet, but it adds to the humor right?}she was right in my face too, and it was gross) he thinks all of the girls in the family have been lacks in helping him, so he decides to get us all out there to rake dirt into the ditches. the conclution i've come to after all this rake-age of dirt is that i'm simply not cut out to be a physical laboror. period. i'm not bad at it and i get it done, but i hate every minute of it and i just sit there sweating and muttering about how stupid this all is under my breath. then when my mom hears me muttering, she starts in about how much "our father does for us and how we should do whatever we can to help help out when he asks us to" or "we don't ask much of you guys, but when we do, we want it done in a timely fashion without grumbling"
so, live journal users, welcome to my life
