Fingers Crossed

Slightly less eventful rapper practice last night but still useful. Found out that Pete, our musician, having had his last car sat upon by a deer, has just had his new one sat upon by a deer. Fortunately he's Ok and the car is still running but apparently there's a lot of bodywork damage. Womanfully resisted the urge to make jokes about how that would be dear to fix, at least until I got to rapper where everyone else was doing it too so that was fine. One of our newer dancers is only dancing with us for 2 more weeks before heading off to the wilds of Norwich (via the Olympics which she's helping at.) so we need to organise ourselves to get her to dance out at the Red Lion at some point before she goes and our youngest member will be leaving us soon (also for Norwich!) so we need to organise a big tour somewhere like Oxford or Reading. Will be sad to lose them both.

Got home last night to a terrified ball of fur on the stairs. There was a fox yapping it's head off somewhere outside and my flatmate (owner of said cat) is away and apparently poor Keira did not like this situation at all. To the point of following me (who she's still usually a bit wary of. When I'm on the move anyhow. I'm apparently fine when I'm sitting still) absolutely everywhere (including having to sit in the bathroom while I had my shower) until I went to bed. Anyway, I must not have shut my bedroom door properly last night cause I woke up to a face full of cat. It's lovely that she's relaxing enough around me to use me as  a port in a storm when she's scared but I'll be glad when flatmate is back. I like cats as a rule but I'm more of a dog person and I still object to waking up to them in my bed!

Dancing at the Victoria Arms in Old Marston tonight with Armaleggan. The weather's not looking horrific at the moment but the forecast is predicting showers for tonight. Ah well.
