Day Off and What I Did With It

Went to see the new Star Trek today.

It was fun but not quite a good as the last one. Benedict Cumberbatch makes a good villain but the film concentrated mainly on Spock and Kirk and, while I like these two characters, my favourite characters have always been McCoy and Scotty and I'll admit that Scotty got some good and funny screen time but McCoy could have done with a lot more. Ah well, maybe next film. I will still obviously be buying this on DVD.

Got a new indicator bulb for the car and managed to empty him. (You now can't move in my room. I think I need to go through stuff and have a cull again so I can stop using the car as a wardrobe) so he's ready for his MOT tomorrow. I don't think he'll pass but hopefully it won't be too horrendous. Fingers crossed anyhow.

Finished the day by joining the University pool and going for a swim for the first time in ages. Managed 1250m and only touched the side once. Not bad for starters will have to see where I can get from there. Swimsuit also a big success. Have a feeling I look vaguely ridiculous but I feel a lot happier in it (thank you to venta for pointing these out to me.) I'd forgotten how much I love swimming must keep it up regularly.
