Summary: Donghae has to move to Korea b/c her mom got a rlly gr8 high position job at a company in Seoul. She's the everyday chill, popular, and famous girl in Southern California. But she has to leave it all behind and find a new life in Korea. And along the way to making herself big there, she might meet someone.....
Just refuse, Donghae. Nobody is forcing you to go on that airplane and nothing bad will happen if you actually refuse. You'll continue your exciting L.A. life, and you don't have to leave it. Just stay put and let that airplane fly away....
Donghae thought to herself as she boarded the plane. But too late now. Umma dragged her onto the plane, all the way to their first class seat. Donghae sat down in the aisle seat, obviously still sulking. Thinking about how things would change in Korea. What would she say to L.A.? there was no way she could escape telling them. Even if she never called, she would have to check her facebook anyways and find about 200 notifications waiting there.
Donghae then thought about the stuff she'll lose. There was too much to leave behind and she couldn't just ditch L.A. like that. She had quite a reputation there and she loved it and connot just leave it. Now going to Korea, she has to leave behind so many connections in L.A. She couldn't play lacrosse anymore. She couldn't play soccer, run track, run cross country, or even do swim team anymore. She was used to the intense, hardcore sports conditioning and the burn in her muscles after a nice, long workout. But in Korea, she would just vegetate and become very overweight. There were practically no gyms around erther. So she had to maintain fitness through breakdancing only. Oh, she had to dance hard then.
Then donghae thought of the parties she'd be missing. She loved partying and dancing all night, being the middle of the bboy cypher. Each party was a chance for her to shine, to really get to socialize, and party hardcore like every L.A. person did.
She missed her dance crew in L.A. There were 5 hilarious guys and 1 other girl. They would go on the streets quite often and just bboy right there, just like when bboying was just born. It didn't matter if she was breakdancing, popping, locking, or doing just basic hip-hop; she loved the way the music was turned up loud, feeling every beat pulse through her. It was the most fun of the week.
Of course school was never really interesting, but she missed the friends and the drama there. Living so close to Hollywood (practically in there), there was always alot of competition. Nobody wanted to be a loser, the fattest person in the class, or the least social. So to maintain weight control, Donghae took up at least 2 sports per season, plus dance starting at 11 years old. Even though in the beginning she felt constant fatigue, over time she has gotten used to it and loved the results coming from it. She was always in shape, with a slim, streamline figure and a solid 6-pack. She grew to 3 inches taller than her 5'3 mother, but weighed about 97 lbs. Not that she was anorexic or anything; she has a good healthy diet and even ate a little more than the average person eats. Just that no matter how much she could eat, the food could never keep up with her sports and physical activity. Sports just burned it all up, even a little more than she ate. Also, she had more energy and endurance (can study later too) than before. The results of hardcore cross country and track left her with a little under 5-minute mile. The conditioning made her strong and feel great all the time, dancing for even longer periods of time. She could dance all-night long if she chose to.
But in Korea...all the sports, the fun, the party, and the friends would be left back in L.A. to vegetate. She knew that in Korea, nobody did sports regularly. And what they thought was nutritious was like a dieter's nightmare to her. She did not want to become fat because she wouldn't feel as great about herself anywhere. As much Asian Pride as she had, she still prefered America. In America, especially California, Asians were always appreciated. Asians were proud to be Asian, and that's how it was. There was Hug an Asian Day, Asian Club, AZN PRYDE, and best of all, the song "Got Rice?". She and her Asian friends would sing it all the time and never got bored. Yes, nobody got half as much rice as her.
However, when she is surrounded by Asians, she knew nobody would have any Asian pride anymore. Instead, they'd all be wishing they were American. Yep, there was nobody to sing "Got Rice?" with.
So the only things left in Korea that were only OK were bboying and the guys.
Oh Fishy Hae, good luck with surviving on only those two.
Sighing, Donghae wanted to forget that she had to practically leave part of her back in L.A. What will she be with all these gone? Donghae wanted to escape it all for a while. Without realizing it, she dozed off into a tired, fed up, and dreamless sleep.

Donghae woke up, surprised at how much she slept. They were landing in Seoul in about an hour. Donghae took out her itouch and scrolled to a random song. After listening to such catchy music for a while though, her body shuddered with an urge she couldn't explain.
She knew exactly what to do.
Donghae got up from her seat, then walked to an open enough area of the plane. She clicked on her favorite dancing song, Like a G6. The people who made that song were even from her hometown.
Popping bottles in the ice
Like a blizzard
Donghae started some simple tutting and waving. Her joints cracked and muscles loosened, getting the hang of standing up, let alone dancing.
When we drink we do it right, getting slizzard
Sipping sizzurp in my ride, in my ride
Like three 6
Now I'm feeling so fly like a G6
The beat sped up as Donghae's popping started, one pop to another, one joint to another, one wave and tut to another. She started to feel the beat again. She realized she has not lost her dancing at all. Donghae didn't even care who was or wasn't looking at her, or the wide eyed stares from passer-bys; she just wanted to dance again. She danced in a carefree mood, almost forgetting why she was on this plane.
Donghae danced and danced, from one song to another. Then the plane started to shake and she decided to finish a last song before heading back to her seat. Donghae ended her small popping session on "How Gee" by Big Bang
The plane subtly bounced as it was landing to Seoul International Airport.
Then it hit Donghae hard that she was landing into Korea. Oh crap.

The airport was crowded. Donghae, her brother Joonhyun, and Umma waited for about 2 hours before they finally got there bags and got a taxi to their new apartment. Donghae really didn't expect Seoul to be more crowded than New York City.
Their new apartment was really nice, although not much of it was really seen because it was 1AM there. Umma checked them into the building and got their apartment number.
Donghae didn't think once after she got to their new apartment. She just unpacked quickly, brushed her teeth, and went straight to sleep in a room w/ a bed
