the opening song (the song is literally sung from her perspective and sums up her character pretty much perfectly)
Personality: Virginia is a go getter. Once she has a goal in mind, she'll pursue that goal with all her heart. Her determination is remarked upon by her teammates by being her greatest strength. In the face of insurmountable odds, Virginia never surrenders. Whether it's being a Drifter, being a good leader, or or even saving the entire planet (more than once), Virginia will do what it takes to get it done. Of course, as for what it takes...
Virginia also walks the road with her own feet. That is to say, she determines the way she wants to do things, and doesn't care for alternative methods that are less honorable. In a world where people have been taking moral shortcuts constantly, she has stuck to what she feels is right. She does what she feels is right regardless of what some might say, or even what REASON might say. And she always has a few choice words as to why she does things in this manner, and that actually seems to help others see her perspective.
However, much of this idealism is just a means over shielding her own insecurities. Throughout the course of the game, Virginia questions herself and her dedication to the Drifting lifestyle, much more so their goal of stopping Filgaia's decay. Given she sometimes applies her fiery willpower in poor ways, others often find these flaws in her rather apparent. Maya, in particular, points them out fairly regularly. Given I am bringing her from the end of the game, her outlook HAS matured somewhat, and she tries to hide her doubts less.
Loyalty is another of Virginia's chief traits, at least in the sense of being loyal to her friends and her way of life. One could bring down all of the heavens and hell to upon her head and she would not falter if it meant sticking by her team. Once you've made friends with Virginia, you've made friends for life. Even if you turn out to be a complete asshole, she will still think on you fondly. It's... hard to get rid of her. Then again, Virginia is the sort to see good in all people no matter how despicable they may seem.
Virginia has a love of danger and mystery, a trait shared by many Drifters. She actively seeks out thrills and problems to be solved, usually being the most gung-ho about exploring ruins (in spite of a lack of treasure, in many cases). Of course this often leads into a bit of a self-preservation problem. What it comes down to, essentially, is that she doesn't have much of an instinct for it. Though she'll be the first to chastise someone for almost getting themselves killed...
Abilities: Virginia's primary skill is that with her twin pistols. The larger one, Bantorain 93R is a gift from her father, while the smaller Rapier EX is her own. She can use both effectively, and utilizes a dueling style that relies on her speed and flexibility to avoid and return enemy fire. Her gatling skill with it allows for more shots than the other three characters in the beginning. She's had training with these guns since she was a little girl, so it's no surprise she's as good with them as she is.
Second to that, Virginia is able to act as a Medium for the Guardians of Filgaia (elemental gods). This gives her the ability to use evokers and use Arcana, her world's magic. She HAS to have a physical medium on hand to evoke, though. Obviously these will be regained a few at a time (the first four) and one at a time afterward.
Another of Virginia's innate abilities is "Mystic". Now... this is rather difficult to describe. BASICALLY it allows her to unlock the "potential" of any given item. In gameplay, this means extending item effects to the entire party or unlocking inherent abilities in otherwise unusable items. In Mayfield, this will pretty much need to be determined on a case by case basis and I'll be sure to give the mods a heads up for any situation in which it might effect plot.
Finally, Virginia has three tools known as Crests, which are scrolls with magical abilities engraved onto them. The first is the Tinder Crest, which sends out small flames that can be used to ignite objects at a distance. The second is the Gale Crest, which allows Virginia to run at extreme speeds, as well as temporarily "walk on air" due to the speed. The final is the Change Crest, which can transform objects depending on the object. The last one is pretty ambiguous, and the least likely to be used.
