So, M and I finally got to go out on a date yesterday. A date! I mean, it was just a movie and a quick coffee at Borders, but hell - it was two-plus hours without either of the kids. We went to go see Inside Man, which was very awesome. It was also a good compromise flick. I wanted to see V For Vendetta; she wanted to see Failure to Launch. She ( Read more... )

Oh my god. As soon as you mentioned the *E* word, my crotch twinged! ACK!

As for 2.5 hr. cardio... what? That's insane. I'd limit it to 30-40 min. sessions 3x per week and do upper body weight training and lower body weight training for those other 2 days. That's what I'm doing anyway. My strength training comes into effect this week. I'm just going to start out with focusing on 2 muscles groups for both the upper/lower body. For example, Tuesday I will do my UBWO (upper body workout) and focus on chest and biceps. Then Thursday, I'll do my LBWO (lower body workout) and focus on abs and squats. And because I like yoga, I'm doing that on Sat/Sun.

As for lifting, I'm following a rep patter like...12,10,8,6 starting with lighter weight at 12...then gradually increasing it until 6. Lather rinse repeat.

I'll figure the rest out later when I become super buff and require some type of gym to futher my progress. But for now, I have free weights I bought at Dick's sporting goods and then I have a step/bench I use for chest presses, etc.

Good luck! Recover well!

No, no. Two sessions at half an hour per session. Sheesh, I can't focus on doing any one thing for 2.5 hours except for sleeping and WOW. I'm not a machine!
