Orlando

I guess the most obvious question I have about "Orlando" is....how do the people around him/her respond to him/her living 400 years and changing sex? And why do they act that way about it?

I thought it was beautifully written and I loved her style. I loved how she'd start off on this longwinded description of something and then abruptly stop and say something like..."but that's enough of that" or "but you know how that goes." That made it very funny in parts. I liked Orlando better as a woman, I can't say why, but I just related to her more I guess....I thought the book became more interesting when she became a woman. Any thoughts?
