the Mothership's content-filter officially blocked LiveJournal two weeks ago, so i'll be paying even less attention than usual (don't take it personally). so here are my random updates and opinions :
yes, our1 quarterback is a dumbass, and i sincerely hope people refer to him as such from now on. At the very least, i hope it results in a severe decrease in the prevelence of the Pittsburgh Left.
the H&M opening at Southside Works last friday was hilarious. It's a damn shame that anukul wasn't in town to join benzado and i in welcoming our new tragically hip workday neighbors.
Go Pirates! if it wasn't for that horriffic April, we'd1 be above .500 now. since discovering that it takes me all of 12minutes to walk to PNC Park, i've seen 12 games this season, with the help of the $5 scalpers and the lovely bartenders at Soho.

the Fairlane (well, the current one) has moisture in the engine and a hole in the exhaust. no long trips in my future, but i sound like a badass driving through the Southside to and from work. Also on tap to be fixed are the fuel gauge, horn, headliner, and left-turn-signal (so i can stop doing bicycle-arm signals out the window).
speaking of the Southside, what's up with Diesel, Towne Tavern, and Carson City Saloon all opening within a month of each other? it's nice seeing Nick's Fat City, the KenTacoHut, and the old Mellon Bank being renovated and reused, but the western side of Carson isn't supposed to be so chi-chi. "A Unique Nightclub and Live Music Venue" my ass.
speaking of Southside and bicyclists, i'm all for bicycles as legitimate road transportation, but for Christ's Sake, FOLLOW THE GODDAMN TRAFFIC LAWS. Acting like a privliged aloof jackass and blowing through red lights, making lefts against heavy traffic, not using turn signals, and riding against the flow (not to mention on the sidewalk) does not make you an urban explorer or rugged individualist rebel - it makes me want to test the tensile strength of my door. PS. checking for dirt under your nails at a green light while blocking a public bus, only to accuse the driver of being a "gas guzzling fascist" is not only misdirected and uninformed, but also... just fuck you.

speaking of music, what is up with Epitonic's new design? I'm a fan of chunkiness, but that's almost obscene.
the unfortunate result of doing many pushups, crunches, etc throughout the day is that the increased muscle mass pushes out your fat. i feel like a hideous pig. a hideous yet muscular pig. buy me new piggy pants. possibly from H&M.
