Must I be reminded that I am in DC for work?

So much stuff to post about, and so little time...I'm gonna have to be brief.  Started off the day routinely; Ken pissed me off b/c he stayed in the bathroom for ~25min.  Leaving me only 5 to pee, wash my face, brush teeth, insert contacts, etc.  Anyway, I got over it quickly.  Got to work on time and proceeded to do routine lab work (made sterile dH2O, assembled test tubes for autoclave, put up clean dishware).  We had a lab meeting at 9:30.  Jess spoke about Opa proteins and her current research.  Prior to the meeting I went to fill out my LAM card (so I can gain access to the rodent care handling facility).  The card should be in by tomorrow.
In extremely summation, Brian and I completed my first ELISA which was performed to test the affinity of the purchased antibodies for region 3 of the MtrE outer membrane protein.  The ELISA was successful, however a proper analysis was not completed (will analyze tomorrow).  Didn't get off of work until 5:30 and just made the bus headed back home.
Once home, Ken and I headed to downtown Silver Spring to return a few of my things (Staples materials, Radioshack stuff I brought up here).  We ate supper there (Austin Grill) and I got some gel insoles for my shoes.  Arriving back home, we began watching Stranger Than Fiction, but due to a leaky washing machine water line, we were forced to stop and take care of the mess.  Now I'm exhausted and have another full load for tomorrow.  I need to try my best to keep my lab notebook filled out (haven't started), b/c all these projects are soon to run together in my head.  Goodnight!!!

P.S.- Looking forward to the high of 76 tomorrow (low is 58 for tonight and 56 for tomorrow night)
