Well, here we are at the first weekend of the Spring Semester! And let me tell you, it is a well deserved one indeed. Mondays-Wednesdays-Fridays are proving to be a little more difficult than planned.. I have all the courses geared toward my major those days, and all of those professors are trying to overachieve already! (We are in Ch. 4 in Genetics, Ch. 3 in Physiology, and Darbeau is traveling at light speed). Don't get me wrong, I'm not complaining. After all, this is what college is all about! Er.......well, yea I even lied to myself right there. College is about having a good time and gaining an education, simultaneously. With that being said, I had a blast this week hanging out with friends (as mentioned in my previous entry).
Yesterday was great! I'm kinda getting the hang of my schedule. (It sure is great to hang Nick in nearly every class once again!) Went and hung out (....and slept) at Joe's, since Lindsay and Chelsie had plans, until my tutoring session at 4. Well, Sprint, being the gay cellular service it is, didn't give me his message until hours later. Turns out my student had a quiz Friday and aced it! That means I didn't have to tutor him (Not that I don't enjoy the money, but hey it was Friday!). So I ran with Mikey (kinda pushed him a little too hard there...). Next, the family and I went to eat at Big Daddy's in Iowa. Not a great experience I might add... The food was good, but cold; and we were surrounded by incompetent waitresses. After that, got Rachel a B-day present, and proceed to Mikey's place, where the usual guy's night went down (for those that don't know, guys night = poker and alcohol). Started off with a great hand, a good drink, and ended up winning without getting drunk (although I was close; I think I'm going to lay off just trying stuff, I know I'm not helping my reputation any....Comments would be appreciated on this matter). The group decided it would be best to go clubbing, and I decided it would be best to go home. Got home 15 min earlier than planned and 20 dollars richer (just that much closer to an ipod!). A great day overall, I must say.
I'll sum up today's plans: Study with Nick, Movies with Rachel, Bed early...
Hope everyone's weekend started as well as mine did.
