Ok so at last check, Kara finally gave up the mission and revealed the Raptor (and poor put upon Racetrack) to Thunder Mountain. About six months have passed.

In fairness to the ultimate resolution, the stopping of the cycle... I'm not sure how much of a bang its going to have.

Smith really is one of those characters that I'll be honest, I didn't really care for when he was introduced. Mostly because he really didn't seem to have a point in a show that was otherwise not very metaphysical. I do like how he softened both Jeremiah and Kurdy though, and he did grow on me.

The difference between Kara and Felix are essentially differences in faith. Felix isn't a believer so he's going to take the Gordian knot method of resolving it - its a cycle so lets break it! Kara in contrast is more religious and may see it more important that the cycle continue. Or she may not.

I don't think it will be necessary to steal a raptor. At the end of the day, this is a habital planet and the last communication from Racetrack, about seven weeks into the quarantine, was that no one had gotten sick and the Earthers believed the virus had burned itself out. I'm thinking Helo,Dee, and Lee and yes they are married and Dee is more concerned that Adama's agenda on looking for survivors is really looking for Kara, and Sam, and *maybe* Cally (not certain there but I can see her insisting)

Okay, so no raptor stealing. Lee's the pilot, Helo the ECO, Dee's going to insist and get into Adama's face (both of them until she comes), same with Anders. Cally, I don't know - I can see her wanting to get Galen, but at the same time, she's got a baby and I'm not sure she'd be willing to risk orphaning him. I could see it either way. Frankly, I'd rather see a marine go with them.

Well, I kinda want a little redemption for Cally... She's actually the one I see being really insistant on going because as um... frigging stupid as she was, she really did love Tyrol. Also, psst, the baby won't be an orphan because um... Tyrol aint the baby daddy :D

More seriously, I think the "rescue" team is really more of an initial "where do we land and start subjacating these people" team and she might be useful. I also see Adama getting it past the Quorum with "we're sending people who have a real fire to find the scouts!"

Hi! I was just reading everything over again - I hope you are still writing? I know another shiny fandom caught your eye, but please don't abandon Felix! (He might get lonely without your attention. Sure, he's got Marcus, but....)

Ugh, I am a terrible ljer lately - I am still writing although I must admit the other fandom is very distracting when it crosses with scifi (there's cute sensitive guys in hot military uniforms and tuxedos)

It's still on my mind... :)
