Jeremiah is fun in that I think Kara underestimates him and he's probably more like Lee than she realizes.
Kara has gotten some grudging respect for Gaeta in this. While she's *thinking* of the incident with the Cylons in Thunder mountain, she's also remembering what happened on New Caprica and in the airlock and that yes... Felix didn't exactly get a thank you.
I genuinely don't see Felix as a bold man as far as courage etc goes but he's not a coward... And I don't think Kara likes acknowledging that there's more kinds of courage than her own. I don't think she's ever considered her hand in someone else's life either, and that's part of why she's having such a hard time letting go of the mission and the fleet. It isn't so much that she's that attached to people either, but the fleet and fighting the cylons has been her nice little rut for years now. Now she has the freedom to be something other than Kara Thrace, hotshot crazy viper pilot.
That's why it's Amanda - Kara has actually built this new life where she's a noble friend and leader in the engineers, helping build a new world, and she's got this kid, this bright kid that wants nothing but a better world, tagging along, thinking *Kara* is this super awesome person.... It's Kara's way of choosing and realizing that yes, she has something worth choosing.
On a greater level, I don't think any of the scouts want the fleet to stay gone, but I also think this is possibly the first time any of them have had real choices... and I think Kara is realizing that her compatriots didn't just chuck it all either.
