I've cut back on the number of shows I'm watching and I still fall behind on them, but! I'm finally all caught up on all but three (well, really four, but the fourth one is The Boy's fault so I'm not counting it) (okay, actually it's five, but who's counting)
The show that really did it for me in the mid season finale was Agents of Shield. That was damn good. I love Coulson and it was great to see him get his badass on. Fitz and Simmons have had the best character arcs since season one. They've both grown so much it's a credit to the writers that's for sure. I can't be the only one though that wanted them to get Will off that planet so there could be some Jemma/Fitz/Will action right?
My next favorite mid season was NCIS:LA. Deeks is my second favorite character on the show, right behind G and I just know he's got some sort of tragic backstory that he and Hetty are hiding and it's not just the fact he shot his father and his former partner. I'm thinking it's more along the lines of he's not who he says he is. Like Marty Deeks is his cover and he's really somebody else. Remember when Hetty hired him, there's the scene in the bar between them and she had that file? The name in it wasn't Marty Deeks.
Then there's Grimm, which has become a strange combination of soap opera plot/monster of the week/myth-arc stories. Don't get me wrong, I love the heck out of it, maybe because of the strange combination. I am a little confused on the sides though. Either I haven't been paying enough attention (totally possible) or it's confusing on purpose. The royals, the council, the 'rebels', they all seem to be working at cross-purpose to each other. Eh, I'll just watch and hope the good guys all make it out alive.
All I can say about Hawaii 5-O is it's still fun, but I miss all the Steve/Danny interaction. And could they please stop throwing love interests at everyone for a couple of episodes? Please people, you don't have to pair everyone off.
The Librarian's is my most fun show and of course Jake Stone is my favorite character, closely followed by Jenkins. I've loved John Larroquette since Night Court. I love the way they're portraying magic as real. I especially love the bringing to life of the fictionals. The characters we love really do have a life of their own, don't they?
I still need to get caught up on Supernatural, Arrow and The Flash. I'm two eps behind on each of them. Then I have to corral The Boy and get him to sit down with me so we can watch American Horror Story: Hotel. We watch all the AHS seasons together, it's our thing. After that I can move on to finishing Jessica Jones :) I've watched three or four eps and the show is amazing. Thank goodness for winter hiatus so I can get all caught up! :D
And finally tv-wise, I was really excited to see the Teen Wolf season preview pop up on my dvr. It feels like it's been on hiatus forever. I miss Derek. Thank the little gods for fanfic, right?
I was gonna bitch about my health, but this got pretty long. Besides, it's a fun post and I don't wanna bring it down with the bullshit that is my brain malfunctions. I can do that in a different post.
