fantastic things are fantastic

I watched the last six episodes of Supernatural today. I really liked the story, with the first blade and the mark of Cain and all. And Cas, being the unwilling leader of the angel army was very good, especially since (to me anyway) it was made clear from the way he let it all go that it was a task he undertook unwilling. I feel like he only did it ( Read more... )

I agree with you on XMen DOFP!! It was fantastic, wasn't it? I wish the Academy took superhero movies more seriously, because I feel like James McAvoy deserves an oscar nom for that performance! It was so much fun and also so heavy at the same time. I have been referring to this movie as The Epic Love Story of Charles & Erik. If you follow this from the first class movie, it's...meet, instant connection, working towards a common goal, terrible accident, breakup, forced together by outside circumstances, fight, healing, coming together at the end to save the world. And then they sex! Right??!!

I loved Hank in this movie so much. I think he was my favorite of all. Also, how good did everyone look in the 70s clothes? DAAAAMN. You do know the story behind why Hugh Jackman was naked in that scene right? Because they wanted him in boxers and he was all, "If Wolverine wakes up in bed with a beautiful naked lady, there is no way in hell he is wearing boxers under those covers," and he refused to put the boxers on for the scene. Thus, naked Wolverine! Also, I loved Storm's future look! I've seen this movie twice already - it was awesome!

That video? PERFECT. This is going to be my response from now on when people tell me that Michael Rosenbaum/Misha Collins makes no sense because they've never even met in RL. "I don't care, I ship it!" LOL

*nods* DOFP is a perfect continuation of First Class. I love that TPtB didn't try to water down the intimate connection Charles and Eric (played by either set of actors) have in the movies. And of course they had all the sex for all the years they ended up together from Wolvie changing the time line.

Ahh! I had no idea about that story! I love that Hugh Jackman cares enough about the character to do something like that.

lol! isn't that just the perfect summary of fandom like ever! Also, I totally would ship Michael Rosenbaum/Misha Collins. they absolutely make sense together!
