I feel like I haven't talked to you in ages! I am so behind on things LJ but I did want to say that I got your birthday card! When I opened it and the Captian America music started playing I had a little jump-scare for a second. Then James T Kirk got very interested in it and I kept opening and closing it for him until it wouldn't play anymore!
Did you ever get the tattoo? I am assuming yes. I will have to go see if there are pics of it on your LJ.
I thought that movie Safety Not Guaranteed looked really awesome, so I added it to the Netflix. It isn't available right now but once it is, it will automatically join my list now.
Was the Shakespeare festival good? I haven't been to one in years. I should poke my sis about one next summer.
I love Caesar to pieces, it has some of the best lines ever and I love how Marc Anthony is so under rated by the senators and he rips their shit up. It's twisted but I love how pretty much every one dies at the end.
Caesar is one of my favs too and for all those reasons you stated. I love the twistedness of it. I have never seen it 'live' though - just the movie and the book.
We're also going to the Architects Of Air installation
I went to the website for that and WOW, I want to go to that. That looked so surreal. How was it?
I've been writing for at least 20 minuets every morning. Long hand of all things still.
20 minutes every day is a good amount actually. I wish I had the discipline for that. You know, I enjoy writing things out long hand. I find it flows more easily that way for some reason. I wrote about 50,000 words like that one summer but hoo-boy was it ever NOT fun typing that shit up later.
It has been a while since we've talked. I turned into some sort of stressed out hermit the last month or so. I'm slowly getting back to putting myself out there social-wise.
I thought you'd like the card :D Gumball, The Boy's cat, freaked out every time she heard the music and attacked the card and me! Crazy little thing.
We went to the Architects of Air installation, but the crowds were so big we didn't get to go through it. Since it was so popular, maybe we'll get another next year. I'll be keeping my eyes peeled anyway cos it looked far to cool to pass up.
Live Shakespeare is so wonderful! If you guys have an event near you I totally recommend going.
Oh, the writing went to shit as my stress level went up. *big sigh* I still have the story in my head, but I've been stuck and unmotivated and thinking I may have to drop out of the BB cos I don't know that I'll make the deadline. *sighs again* I don't know . . .
I haven't been very good about keeping up on LJ this summer. I have made plenty of posts but I always seem behind on comments and way, way behind on my Flist. So I was surprised when I finally got around to catching up and saw that you hadn't posted in awhile. I was just a little worried about you. ;) Also I missed talking to you. I am sorry to hear you have been so stressed out this summer.

I know we used to have a two week festival every summer. I had a friend who was always involved in it, which was how I got started going. But I haven't been in so long, I don't know if we still do that here or not. Our summer festival was the first place I ever saw Midsummer's Night Dream, which is my favorite.
I am sorry the writing has sucked so hard this summer as well. Stress does that unfortunately. What Big Bang was this - KaneJ2? Hey, you'll be happy to hear I have started writing Leverage fic this summer! I finally started really watching it. The dvds were all marked down on amazon, so I picked up the first four seasons for about $60. I just started season four this week and it is all I want to read/write these days.
So happy to see you around again, babe! /one-armed hug ala Hardison&Eliot/
