oh look, it's here again
Apparently, passive aggressive behavior works. My brother had a brand new front door, locks and all installed saturday. It's very nice for a door, they matched the hardware on all the rest of the doors in the house and it's got a fan window. It's very cool to have a door that closes firmly with locks that turn smoothly and only require one hand to do so. No turning the key with one hand while the other pulls the doorknob in and up so the lock will engage.
The door's not the only thing either. I mis-sent a text message to twitter instead of The BF regarding led night-lights (and then forgot to delete it outta twitter, but hell, it's not like it was really personal or anything) and lo if led night-lights didn't appear in the hall. So I guess their checking up on what I'm saying. I wonder if that means I oughta stop talking about them here. Naw. My journal, I'll say what I like.
Anyway, if I ask for a kitchen re-model do you think I'll get it? Probably not, but it'd be pretty sweet. The kitchen really needs more counter and cabinet space.
Now for more interesting less bitchy stuff.
Last night we went to Yamato: Drummers of Japan. It was amazing. Here's a video it doesn't do a live show justice but it shows what they do. And damn is what they do beyond cool. They've got a drum that had to be at least six feet tall and when they used it you could feel it in the floor. I was vibrating til well after the show. I can not wait til they come round to the area again. I highly recommend seeing them if you have the opportunity.
In other theater news the BF is a huge Monty Python fan and got us tickets to Spamalot next month. I have no idea what the premise is, but I love Holy Grail so it's all good. Besides I just love going to live performances.
Next weekend is The Boy and I's day out. Hair-cuts, lunch and shopping, oh my! I haven't decided what new music I want since I bought that stuff on amazon.com (aka: The Devil) I have a list on my phone but I always forget to check it. Also I have to get a gift for a baby shower. I already got her Go the F**k to Sleep but I suppose I oughtta get a baby related gift as well. And I'm hopping there will be clearance Halloween stuff already cause I need to replace some of my styrofoam tombstones this year. The wind really did a number on them, bending and cracking them around their anchors.
In writing news, the big bang is going alright. I'm on the first re-write/expansion. The sequel to Skippin' Stone is outlined and I've got a Christian makes a Deal to become famous ficlet thingy half written. I need more hours in the day. Or the tv and internet need to be less entertaining.
