My Kid is so Cool (and other random updates)
I really do adore my kid ya know. Like I told the judge last time around for custody 'he's the best thing I've done with my life.' I don't know, just feeling all warm and squishy about him lately.
So, I know that I promised the damn showchoir vid like forty years ago. Well, tada! My brother got it all sorted for me. He may drive me crazy and make me want to smack him around and I really don't care for his wife, but I do love my brother and he can do lovely things for me when he puts his mind to it. Eh, family, the definition of complicated relationships.

He starts out on the far right bout half way back, then during Tumbling Down he's actually top center.
And here's my baby in the prom clothes he bought himself. It's what he blew his money on instead of taking me to the movies for my b-day *g*. He has a serious thing for formal wear and would wear it everyday if he could get away with it.
And cuz he's a giant goof.
I think he's absolutely adorable and perfect, but I'm seriously biased :D
Let's see, what other things have I got going on. The Steve, Dean friendship fic is at beta, so like a week till that goes up I suppose. I've been working on the one for the big bang. I know sign-ups don't open til april 1, but I don't think it's against the spirit of the event to start writing now if I've got the inspiration. And I'm actually kinda nervous about producing the word count.
Hmm, comics have been good. Music is good. Got some new stuff from dodger_sister that I'm looking forward to listening to this week. Both jobs have been good. The internet has been good. lol, ever find it's easier to find something to say about the stuff that pisses you off than about the stuff that makes you happy?
Oh, firefox and yahoo are making me nuts. I've got the newest firefox and the yahoo toolbar is not compatible with it :( I know I must be one of only three people who even like the yahoo toolbar, but it's always worked for me for organization purposes. I love the little buttons for my regular stops, gmail, yahoo mail, livejournal, twitter. I like how easy it is to organize your bookmarks. Mine are all sorted into folders by type. (I've never managed to do that neatly with the firefox bookmarks)
It's gonna make me all cranky til either the code gets sorted or I find another system. I don't wanna find another system tho. I'm a creature of habit and I don't like my habit being messed with :( So, do any of ya'll have any suggestions for a replacement system?
And on the subject of things that piss me off, the ex called last week. He wanted to know why I wasn't gonna have The Boy fly down for spring break. I told him money and I do enjoy the drive, so why not. He says, I know I'm behind on child support (read hasn't paid anything since last october) but would it be okay if I bought him a plane ticket. I said sure. He then wanted to know if a) I would pay half and b) would I consider it a child support payment.
My answers were obvious; with what money and no. The man lives in his own little world I swear. He also wanted to know why I haven't pulled The Boy outta showchoir cuz his grades are bad. (he's doing very poorly in english, this year is all paper writing and he's bombing it big time) I didn't even get into that one with him. Choir has been the best thing to happen to The Boy socially and emotionally. Trying to explain that to the ex would degenerate into the custody issues fight. And I don't go there without my lawyer *g*
Wow, good thing I put this behind a cut, it turned into a book :D I guess that's what I get for only really posting once a week. Everything comes out all at once. :D
