Work today was long and busy, what with the Sunday rush, but the customers were fairly pleasant, with a few outstandingly nice folks here and there. It's amazing how much a simple gesture, or a few kind words, can completely change a person's day.
This was also the case after work. I got home, and immediately went out on a small grocery run, forgetting that I don't carry my wallet in my work clothes (no pockets). I got all the way to the register before I realized I didn't have any money. I was contemplating the drive home and back - again - to fetch my wallet, when the woman in line behind me offered to buy my groceries for me. I asked if I could pay her back, and she told me to pass on the favor, and that God loved me. I thanked her profusely, and promised to keep her words in mind. You're awesome, That Lady.
Never forget how easy it is to really make someone's day. ^ ^
