...and now, for something completely different.
Well, I realize that it's been a while since I posted anything: I never even finished my posting on my trip to Mexico as my computer ate my work, and I never got around to redoing all of it.
But Now I have a good reason to post something new! New game! With new people!
Yes, I'm actually participating with the world again. Go me. And it's an interesting group, too! I was gabbing and joking and chatting with the best of them. When an opponent turned into a giant snake, I made the obligatory Indiana Joines joke...it was all good fun. I'm playing a Dust Genasi assassin who's starting to get interested in things besides killing and destruction (Think a cross between Data and Leon), and I'm working with an odd cat-man ranger, a perpetually cheerful (to the point of scariness) aasimar cleric of Helios, and a Planescape version of Captain Jack. Complete with ship. Our first adventure? Being kidnapped and brought to the Beastlands to be prey for a bunch of werewolves (and a giant) that appear to worship Fenris, of the Norse pantheon...
But the best part of the game! The quoatables! I've always wanted some good quotes 'overheard while gaming':
- "Nobody lets me play."
- "Don't worry, we'll let you set yourself on fire later..."
(the party finds some idols in the pouches of some werewolves)
-What kind of idols are they?
-American Idols!
-Holy god, it's Clay[Aiken]! Burn Them!
-As we walk, I fiddle with stuff in my pouch.
-"Is that a ten foot pole in your pouch, or are you just happy to see me?"
-"I'm happy to see *everyone*."
-"...hense the ten foot pole!"
-(irritated) "Have you been keelhauled lately?"
-(thinks) "There was this one girl at a Sensate party that did something like that, I think..."
- I generally move *away* from 40 foot tall blue things. Wisdom *high*, remember?
and finally:
- "Can you tell us how we got here?"
- (NPC) "You are food."
- ...Well, that's a conversation stopper.
