And Now, the Flipside
As a number of you likely noticed in
ewokgirl's journal, we have decided to separate this September. I expect to relocate to Marin County, whereas she will remain in Alameda with primary custody of the Boy. All things considered, things don't seem that bad - we still love each other, we still like each other, we want to live in the same area, raise the Boy the same way, see each other regularly, hell, we even play Yahtzee together. But as she has started the road to recovery from the awful shit perpetrated on her by shitheads she had to trust years before I ever entered the picture, living together and sharing a bed just don't seem to work. We hope that this time apart will give us the opportunity to get far enough along in recovery that we can determine what kind of relationship we'll maintain from a healthy place.
