Any Remaining Shred of Respect for McCain: Gone
While many of those who continue to support the national moratorium on offshore drilling correctly state that such drilling would do nothing to alleviate high prices at the pump any time soon, I wish somebody with a bigger audience than me would call Bush, McCain and all the other braying republifucks on their shit:
They would rather exploit public concern over these high fuel prices to get their pals in the oil business, already reaping record profits for several years running, access to more money than actually do anything about our nation's dependence on oil - foreign or domestic. They seek to harness the uncertainty and discomfort of American citizens for the benefit of their friends at the eternal expense of our nation's treasured coasts. They do not do this to help us; they would use our fears to further fuel the profits of the oil companies.
Fucking despicable.
