Thanks, Brett

Green Bay Packers quarterback Brett Favre, believed the greatest ever to play the game by millions and of course, me, has retired after 17 years in the NFL.

I enjoyed watching Brett more than any other athlete. Win or lose - and he usually won - Brett put on a hell of a show every game and trumped everybody in heart as well as skill. I'll never forget the 38-year-old pelting teammates with snowballs, slapping officials on the ass and smiling all the way in his last win on the frozen tundra.

Brett has played in virtually every Packer game I've ever watched. I can't imagine the team without him, but even as the Packers move on, I - and millions of other Packer fans fortunate enough to have watched him play - will never forget him.

Thank you, Brett Lorenzo Favre.

Ha ha, you have a goofy middle name.
