I Think We Can Stop Worrying About a Dry Winter Now

Jan 04, 2008 11:21

I have had the sliding glass door facing the courtyard open since the Boy and I got up so that we could listen to the rain and the wind. I just watched the wind pick up the rain on the roof across the way and redistribute the water before it could even drain down the shingles.

Golden Gate buses and ferries have suspended service, the Richmond Bridge has shut down after a 70-mile-per-hour gust blew over an 18-wheeler, and apparently hundreds of thousands of (other - ha ha, for now) people have lost power.

I look forward to surveying the damage if this weather decides to let up someday!
