(no subject)
I think I may be going crazy. There is a cold front sitting right on top of us (meaning, no cool fall weather for us, only summer-like heat, humidity and rain), and I have been soooooo jealous of everyone living north of Palm Beach County. I am longing for fall so much that I actually turned on a football game so that I could hear the noise. This only has meaning to those of you who know that I loathe football, especially the incessant shouting of the commentators.
Today I took Andrew on his first garage-saling expedition. We only found two before Jack got hungry and started to scream, but we found this really great little table and chair set for him. It looks like it came from a Montessori school or something - very modern, with brightly colored chairs and metal legs. It looks almost brand new. $15! 2.00 (that 2.00 was typed by Jack - I guess he thinks we should have bargained). Andrew likes garage-saling. We will be doing more.
Inspired by Caleb's post, I broke out my Tennyson yesterday and read Ulysses. Absolutely incredible. I will leave it out and try to read a little everyday.
Tonight we are going out to dinner. This has not happened in a while, partly because Jack goes to bed at 7:30, but more because Andrew plays soccer every Friday, Saturday and Sunday night, and now has classes every Tuesday and Thursday night in preparation for taking the MCAT. I am really looking forward to it. We are going to Pan Lan, which has received some very good reviews. Pan Asian cuisine!
