Yeah...buying a computer IS very much like some ancient greek quest...except now it's a modern quest...;) (incidentally, I've elected to take a class in Greek prose this semester..wish me luck! It's gonna be tough!) I'm not a greek hero...not even a modern day hero...not even a techno-wiz. If my father weren't as computer oriented as he is, and if he didn't take such good care of me, I would have had no CLUE what to get. Best of luck, you'll get the machine you need. Also, good luck with moving into res., etc...that's going to be hectic.
I wasn't trying to toot my own horn about summer vacation, and I'm very sorry it came across that way. You did very impressive work with your concert and I wasn't even trying to discount that! Sorry. Reading IS productive! (but, nineteenth century novels?? You must have a much longer attention span than I do! Convuluted doesn't BEGIN to describe the plot intricacies!) I've been reading like a fiend, too--for summer is usually the only time I get to read whatsoever I choose! *sigh* summer is wonderful. Please, please, please don't feel like you need to defend yourself. I can't put on a concert, so I busy myself other ways. Comparison is dangerous, you know. Enough preaching.
