Sonnet training update

Hey there, folks. I am here with an update (partially for my own sanity) on our new pup Sonnet. Sonnet has improved a lot of the past two weeks. Instead of getting our attention by gnawing on us, she now licks us, which is, of course, a significant improvement. She still does a play lunge-bite when she gets really excited (she snaps on thin air), but we're working on that. Her crate training is going pretty well, as far as the accident-portion of it goes. She hasn't had an accident in the crate for about a week and a half. Doug and I moved the divider back a couple notches today so that she has a bit more room. We'll see if that makes an effect with that aspect.
She did have an accident out of the crate this morning, though, but that was totally my fault. She was ringing the bells we have hanging on the door specifically so the dogs can let us know when they need to go out. I was in the middle of drying my hair at the time, so I dismissed it by saying I would take Sonnet out when I finished drying my hair. Well, she couldn't wait that long and it was obvious she was feeling icky and just couldn't wait very long. Mea culpa, mea culpa. Poor girl.
In other words, she's a good girl about 45% of the time, but she can get very rambunctious. This is up, however, from about 15-20% a couple of weeks ago. Definitely progress. It's slow, painstaking and often frustrating, but it's something.
