Haha. It's nothing so complicated, really. Their ship was damaged somehow, I happened to be in port at the time, and I was a better option than the town carpenter. And then they threatened to raze the village if I didn't accompany them, so I thought I ought to go.

I wasn't really friends with Lucci at the time, so I pretty much missed it too.

Well there are these weird fruits that just kind of...showed up I guess. They're kind of like devil fruits but they have fixed effects and they only last a week. A pink banana switches you from a guy to a girl or vice-versa. There's also one that changes your age, one that changes your size, and...I don't know, a few other kinds.

Ahhh, the fake Devil Fruits that were giving the Government conniptions until they cracked down, yes, I think I have heard of them. I wasn't aware of the specific-effects, however. ...They seem extremely amusing.

Yes, those. They're amusing unless it's happening to you. Oh yeah, I forgot there's a bodyswitch one, too. Sanji and Usopp switched bodies for a week a couple months ago. That was really weird.
