Yes, I think so. For the moment, in any case. Apparently they needed a shipwright and are not above using forcible means to acquire one.

T-that's horrible! Do you think you can get any chance for rescue?

Rescue...? I don't expect so, I wouldn't dream of putting people out in such a manner, when I got into this situation on my own. However, I may be able to extract myself, given a little time. The next island, perhaps. The fact that we're at sea makes it slightly difficult to slip away.

One must deal with a multitude of dangerous circumstances on this pirate-filled ocean on a daily basis. I'm going to try and think of this in that light. In any case, I thank you very much for your concern.
