Typhoon ONDOY Disaster...

so.... where to start huh...

well, i still went to school last saturday despite of the non-stop heavy rain. the classes were not suspended that time anyway. i reached school only to find out that my prof for my first period is not present. I thought that I will still be having my class for 1630 so I went to the student lounge to pass time where I found JC. we spent time together along with other people there that i have never seen before. we talked and other stuff then the rain grew heavier. classes were announced to be suspended at 1130. After getting a registration form in the registrar, I said bye to JC and the others then left with mom. i thought we will be able to make it home but no... here's where the devastation/disaster starts...

we went to megamall to get our car because we thought that we will be able to make it home. so we went on our way home. but then we found out that they won't allow anyone to pass through rosario bridge because of a knee-high flood. so we took a u-turn and tried libis. unfortunately for us, there's also a knee-high flood there. so we took a u-turn again and tried masinag. that didn't work out as well since there's also flood there. all i know is that it's high enough for us to be able to pass through. so we went back to the beginning of the rosario bridge where the flood is only ankle-high; but we noticed that it's going up... I just said to my mom, "why don't we just park in megamall again then commute our way home?" she agreed then we went on our way. we reached megamall but they won't allow overnight parking there so I thought maybe robinson galleria will allow us to. then we went there. luckily, they do have overnight parking there. we parked the car then left for home. we rode the mrt ortigas going to araneta center-cubao then from there rode the lrt going to santolan. we reached santolan. but... there's also a knee-high flood. desperate enough, we walked through it along with other people. It really is a big crowd. the flood is getting higher and higher as we move on. mom, who is really nervous around waters, sought help from other people so that we can hold onto them. they generously agreed. which i'm thankful for not that im nervous much about the situation as well but it's to give more confidence.

in any case, we walked a very long road with many vehicles stuck there and soaked. my mom held my bag for me, minutes passed, and then when i turned to look, my bag is soaking wet, collecting water from the flood. O.o my cellphones, pda, notebook and many important things are in there!!!!!!! since there is a tiny opening through the zipper, i managed to remove the water in it. but that alone doesn't remove the fact the my phones and pda are soaking wet. when we reached sta. lucia, we bought clothes to change into. luckily there was a store which still lets us buy even though they're already closed. in any case, i wiped my gadgets dry as soon as we settled down in some corner there. my gadgets are... broken. and so as my mom's phones. well we have no choice. we stayed in sta. lucia up to 0430 then started walking through the cold cold flood again. we reached the middle which is neck-high, or maybe higher... there then i saw unity amongst the people there. some people tied a rope across then helped us cross... after that, we continued walking. up to junction then from junction, we headed to tikling. some parts, like estrella has dried up already. from there, we rode a jeepney, up to our subdivision entrance. we reached home by 10.00. i immediately took a bath. put in lots and lots of shampoo. gah!!! there. but the problem is that we don't have cellphones. my dad is going to call by evening. good thing that my samsung is still working despite of having broken LCD. it won't show a display but it can still receive calls. so there.

my voice sounds terrible the next morning. we went to robinson to get our car back since it is said in the news that the floods have subsided along our way. we brought my LG cookie, and 7210 supernova, which I have named, miyaru and kantarou respecively, to get it fixed. luckily, we had it fixed at robinsons junction. and now im using miyaru while my mom is using kantarou. :)

my mom is still having trauma somewhat and hangover due to the incident. it's like we took on the challenges in survivor, you know, the reality show... geeesshh. if only i followed my instinct and did not go to school then this would have never happened.

in any case, i thank everyone who gave their help from the bottom of my heart. especially mirei who generously offered me to stay in her condo unit for a while. i really appreciate her but I'm just too shy to do so. ehehehehehe.

so there. i think these words here don't exactly describe what i really experienced. more like no word can exactly describe what happened.

*phew*
