One week playing the cello.

Wow.

I should have tried this before.

I mean, yeah, there are still challenges for my stroke affected right hand, but an astounding amount of left hand technique applies.
And the right hand is not as bad at bowing as I feared, though I still cramp like mad after about 15 mins. 
I may try a leather strip wrap to make the frog an easier grip (this is an old skool thing, apperently) 
It is a bit odd reading bass clef, and bowing notation is like guitar notation in that it adds another thing to keep track of.

But all in all, this is really kewl!
How kewl is it?

I found a cheap used student viola (tuned one octave higher than cello) on Ebay.
I mean, it is Cat's cello, and I have always loved the rich sonorous tone of the
alto flavored violin.

This could be the start of a beautiful friendship.
